Client Testimonials

"One of the best things I ever did for myself was to start therapy.  I had tried a couple of different therapists before I struck gold with Sarah. Her approach is always on point, she is so precise in the way she listens and communicates her constructive feedback. It is without a doubt down to her that I am in a much better place today than I was when I started my sessions. She has helped me immeasurably and I really can’t thank her enough!"

"I've been with Sarah for over a year now, and I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't started therapy! I've learnt so much about myself - from breaking harmful behaviour patterns, to healing unresolved trauma. It did feel scary to start off with, but I'm so glad I stuck with it because the results have been life changing."

"I worked with Sarah for around 60 sessions over a couple of years. I found Sarah’s gentle, honest, caring and boundaried approach reassuring, and I never felt rushed or pushed. I strongly feel that Sarah’s interpersonal awareness and sensitivity were key in the progress I made during this time. Having finished our work for the time being, I feel that I continue to benefit from it and grow as a result of it."

"As a 33-year-old male working in a professional field, I started counselling with Sarah when I was struggling with frustrations, anger, and anxiety that I couldn't fully understand. Sarah's listening skills and non-judgmental approach created a safe space where I felt heard, which was incredibly therapeutic.

Over the course of a year, I met with Sarah weekly, initially in person and later virtually. The online sessions were just as effective as meeting face-to-face, and I found the convenience of virtual counselling beneficial.

Through our sessions, Sarah helped me explore my present challenges, ranging from deep-seated issues to everyday frustrations and conflicts at work. As I felt more comfortable, I naturally began to share my past experiences, which unexpectedly shed light on my current struggles and the limitations I felt in reaching my full potential. Sarah's patient and attentive listening allowed me to make these connections at my own pace. One particularly valuable insight I gained was learning to allow emotions to pass through me, rather than getting stuck in them.

I appreciated Sarah's recommendations for resources like books by Bessel van der Kolk and Gabor Maté. These complemented our sessions and gave me additional tools for self-reflection.

Although confronting difficult emotions isn't easy, I found my work with Sarah to be profoundly impactful. Her ability to listen and provide a supportive space was invaluable for my personal growth.

A year later, I am grateful for having worked with Sarah. I highly recommend counselling to anyone considering it, whether you're dealing with deep-rooted issues or everyday challenges. Whether you choose in-person or virtual sessions, finding a counsellor like Sarah who provides a safe and supportive environment is what matters most."

"I would highly recommend Sarah as she is empathetic, patient and flexible. She has been a very accommodating therapist who I was working with for a few years and is there for me if I would like an extra session or two now our regular sessions have finished. I have been able to work through my trauma and self-esteem problems with her as well as her helping me to understand many of my thinking patterns and behaviours.

I now feel more equipped with methods to use when feeling anxious/panicked or general low moods etc. and she has helped me understand how to use my own interests such as aromatherapy, as methods of support for myself when in anxiety inducing situations. I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy as a way of bettering ourselves as humans and taking time out for yourself to understand and care about yourself, which Sarah has guided me to do."
