Sarah Ryan
Choosing a therapist to work with is a personal decision and it's an important one - as it is often through this relationship that clients find the safe space and conditions necessary to explore meaningful work.
It’s important to find someone who is a good fit for you and for this reason I offer short, no-obligation, introductory sessions - where we can meet.. You can get a sense of how I work and we can explore the possibility of working together.
I'm a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist offering both short-term and open-ended therapy for individuals in central Winchester and online, via Zoom.
My professional, post graduate training was completed at Roehampton University and is integrative - a progressive form of psychotherapy that combines different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the unique needs of the individual client.
Working compassionately, providing a safe, confidential and empathic space, I aim to facilitate clients to meet the challenges they are encountering and to empower them to draw on their strengths, so that progress is sustained after therapy has been concluded.
I am committed to transparent verbal and written communication with clients.
With a range of experience; having worked within the NHS as a therapist and in private practice - I offer counselling and psychotherapy to a range of clients.
As a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice and work within the context of confidentiality and clear ethical boundaries.
I hold a clear, enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and am fully insured. My work is regularly supervised by a fully qualified and accredited (UKCP) psychotherapist.
